GM unveiled a concept car known as Hy-Wire. It will be powered by Hydrogen fuel cells (Hy-) and will be wire-controlled, rather than by mechanical links (-Wire). The motor and everything else that runs the car is located in an 11" (28 cm) area underneath the body, which can thus be replacable and also allows for a much more ergonomic car design.
